After you contact us, we will schedule a time for a brief call. During the initial consultation, you can expect us to talk about our services, fees, and ask you more about what you are looking for. We also will use this time to answer any questions you might have about our practice, experience, and about counseling. From there, if you feel like we are a good match for what you are looking for, we will schedule an initial counseling session.
If you try to reach us by phone and you get our voicemail, please leave us a message with your name, phone number and/or best way to contact you! We will be sure to call you back within 2 business days.
Natalia is credentialed with Aetna, United Healthcare/Optum, and BCBS in TX and MA. Lisa is credentialed with Aetna and BCBS in TX.
If you are paying without insurnace, we charge $160 per session after the initial counseling visit. If you are facing financial barriers that make it difficult to pay our full fee, please don't hesitate to ask us about our sliding scale/reduced fee options during the initial consultation call.
We are also able to provide you with a superbill upon request for possible insurance reimbursement.
Good Faith Estimates:
Under the No Surprises Act (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act), health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill mental health services.
In our practice, the cost for services depends on a variety of factors. When you schedule your initial appointment with your therapist, you will receive an estimate for costs and we will provide an update if any changes occur.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
At Sin Miedo, we definitely understand the pressure you might feel to know where you want to start in counseling or to have a clear picture of what you want to work on before you schedule a meeting with a counselor. But, when life comes at us and we are feeling stressed out, it can be hard to know what we need in the moment!
If you don't know where to start and all you know is that you need more support - that's okay. We are here to help.
In our consultation call just let us know that you're not sure where to start and we can help to guide you. We'll ask some questions about what's been happening in your life, what prompted you to reach out, and we'll go from there.
We are very experienced in working with people who have never had counseling before, so we have lots of tools in our pocket to make the process of starting counseling feel easier by being authentic, warm, and offering some helpful suggestions for next steps. We also recognize that we are not the best fit for everyone so we can help connect you with other resources that might be more helpful if it's needed.
At this time, our practice is available for in-person and virtual appointments. Please note that our availability for in-person appointments is limited to Austin, Texas. Otherwise, we are available for virtual appointments throughout the state of Texas, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
